Scranton, PA — Simplex Homes is thrilled to announce that Patrick A. Fricchione, Jr., General Partner and CEO, has been honored with the prestigious S.A. Walters Award by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). This accolade is a testament to Pat’s exceptional leadership and innovative contributions to the modular home building industry.
Pat has been at the helm of Simplex Homes, a leading modular home manufacturer based in Scranton, PA. As a second-generation leader, Pat has continued the legacy of excellence established by his father and uncles, who founded the company. His journey with Simplex began on the shop floor, and over the years, he has gained comprehensive experience by working in nearly every division of the company.
Under Pat’s visionary leadership, Simplex Homes has evolved into a nationally recognized modular builder known for its high-quality construction and technical innovation. Pat’s hands-on approach and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in the company’s growth and success. He has been particularly proud of Simplex’s dedication to multi-family projects and its ability to transcend traditional modular building techniques. This forward-thinking approach has enabled Simplex to construct multi-million-dollar townhomes in Philadelphia and beyond, as well as large-scale student housing and residential developments.
“We are attracting non-traditional modular customers who see our industry as supplying a superior building method that will take them from planning to revenue generation faster than any other method,” Pat remarked. “It’s very satisfying to have emerged as a leader in this field.”
Pat’s influence extends beyond Simplex Homes. He has served as Chairman of the Building Systems Council in 2015, a division of the NAHB, and as President of the Modular Building Systems Association. His leadership roles also include serving as the immediate past Chairman of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, President of the Scranton Half Marathon, and a board member of The Women’s Resource Center of Northeast PA. Additionally, Pat has been an active member of the Board of Trustees for Marywood University for three consecutive terms.
A strong advocate for the trades, Pat has collaborated with Johnson College by donating space for onsite training labs within Simplex’s property. This initiative allows the college to expand its program availability, providing students with real-world, hands-on experience during their education. Pat and his family have also been generous supporters of Johnson College, offering financial pledges and a family-named scholarship to assist community members in participating in the college’s HVAC program.
The S.A. Walters Award is a fitting recognition of Pat Fricchione’s dedication to advancing the modular home building industry and his commitment to community service. Simplex Homes is proud to celebrate this achievement and looks forward to continuing its tradition of excellence under Pat’s leadership.
