2025 Henry P. Fricchione Employee of the Year Award – Lamar Brown

Lamar Brown began his career at Simplex in May 2019, joining the Receiving Department at Plant #2. Since that time, Lamar has consistently demonstrated a positive, upbeat attitude and a strong willingness to step in wherever needed to support production efforts.

Beyond his daily responsibilities, Lamar has shown a deep commitment to workplace safety and teamwork. He is trained in First Aid and CPR, serves as a certified member of the Safety Committee, is a certified forklift operator, and is a dedicated participant on the snow crew. His reliability and versatility make him a valued asset to the organization.

Lamar resides in Wilkes-Barre with his significant other, Christine, and his daughter, Cherish. He is well known among his coworkers for his creativity, often showcasing his artistic talents during the annual pumpkin decorating contests and bringing holiday spirit to the workplace each Christmas. It’s widely believed that these talents may be inspired by Christine’s own creative abilities.

Outside of work, Lamar is an avid sports fan, supporting the Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL and the Phoenix Suns in the NBA. He enjoys the occasional lottery ticket and finds his greatest pleasure in spending quality time at home with his family.

Lamar’s impact extends beyond his individual contributions. This past year, he proposed the idea of recognizing employees who demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality. His suggestion led to the creation of the Quarterly Attendance Achievement Awards, as well as a year-end grand prize drawing for all qualifying employees. The grand prize winner will be announced in January and will receive a trip in recognition of their commitment.
